One fast-acting, non-drowsy tablet effectively relieves allergy symptoms and nasal congestion for 12 hours.

Overview

  • Fast-acting and long-lasting antihistamine + decongestant.
  • Provides non-drowsy 12-hour allergy relief of symptoms caused by seasonal allergens (trees, grass and ragweed pollen) and perennial allergens (dust mites, animal dander and moulds).
  • Relieves sinus congestion, nasal congestion, sinus pressure, and post nasal drip/discharge.

Directions

 

Directions

Adults and children (12 years of age and older):One tablet every 12 hours. Swallow whole with water. Do not break, crush, chew or dissolve the tablet. Do not exceed more than two tablets in 24 hours. The use of this product should be limited to three months unless recommended by a doctor.

Loratadine 5 mg (Antihistamine)
Pseudoephedrine Sulphate 120 mg (Decongestant)

Inactive Ingredients:

In alphabetical order: black ink, croscarmellose sodium, calcium phosphate dibasic, hypromellose, lactose, magnesium stearate, povidone and titanium dioxide

Warnings

Do not use with a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) (drugs for depression or Parkinson's disease) or for 2 weeks after stopping the MAOI drug; if you have glaucoma; difficulty in urination due to enlargement of the prostate gland; high blood pressure; heart of thyroid disease; if you are allergic to desloratadine or any of the product ingredients.

Ask a doctor or pharmacist before use if you are elderly (aged 60 and over); pregnant or plan to become pregnant; breastfeeding; taking other medications; have diabetes, stomach problems (ulcer or obstruction); kidney or liver disease.

When using this product you may have dizziness, dry mouth, fatigue, headache, sleeplessness, nervousness, stomach discomfort, nausea, and sleepiness. Taking more than directed may cause drowiness.

Stop use and ask a doctor if skin blister, redness or rash occurs; symptoms do not improve within 7 days or are accompanied by a fever; nervousness, dizziness or sleeplessness occurs.

Other warnings: Pseudoephedrine may interact with beta-blockers to cause a marked increase in blood pressure.

Keep out of reach of children. In case of overdose, call a poison control centre or get medical help right away.

    Claritin® Allergy + Sinus is available wherever over-the-counter allergy products are sold. In some provinces or locations, it may be behind the counter of the pharmacy. Ask your pharmacist.

    Claritin® is an OTC medication. What does OTC mean?

    OTC means over-the-counter. It means the product is available without a prescription.

    Are all OTC allergy medications non-drowsy?

    No, some over-the-counter allergy medications can produce drowsiness. Claritin® Allergy + Sinus is non-drowsy when taken as directed.

    When should I take Claritin® Allergy + Sinus Tablets?

    You can take Claritin® Allergy + Sinus Tablets when your allergy symptoms act up, but only once every 12 hours.

    Can I chew a Claritin® Allergy + Sinus Tablet?

    Please swallow the tablet whole. Do not chew, crush or dissolve the tablet.

    How should I store Claritin® Allergy + Sinus Tablets?

    Store between 15°C and 30°C. Keep out of reach of children.
